Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) Filling Machines are supplied using the two-stage pressure filling process:
The Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) Filling Machine product filler dispenses the drug concentrate into the open container. A valve is then manually placed on top of the can. The valve is then crimped into position to form a seal by the Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) Filling Machine crimper. The propellant is then injected under pressure through the valve into the can by the Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) Filling Machine propellant filler. Using this method, the mixing of the concentrate and propellant takes place in the can rather than in the bulk formulation tank.
These Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) Filling Machines are offered in 2 versions. A semi-automatic 3 in 1 machine, and a rotary indexing machine with automatic removal of filled unit.
